Brief Bio:
Valencia Prentice is an Assistant Professor in the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education. Her research focuses on the economic impact of expenditures by local governments and nonprofits on property values, and their effect on the redistribution of property wealth.

She has presented her research at national conferences including the Association for Budgeting and Financial Management (ABFM), American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), Southeastern Conference for Public Administration (SECoPA), Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA), and the Conference of Minority Public Administrators (COMPA).

Prior to her academic career, Valencia served as the Deputy Accountant General in the Treasury Department and as a Finance Officer in the Ministry of Finance, Anguilla, W.I. She also was a consultant in the Ministry of Finance for the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, W.I.
