Brief Bio:
Dr. Nash currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at Cleveland State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics from Baylor University in Texas. His academic journey also includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from Griffith University in Queensland, Australia.

Dr. Kyle Nash is an accomplished academic with a strong focus on sustainability and e-participation studies, particularly within the sharing economy and analytical approaches. His research has made significant contributions to the field, with his work being published in prestigious journals such as the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction (IJHCI), the Journal of Computer Information Systems (JCIS), and Computers in Human Behavior (CHB).

Outside of his academic responsibilities, Dr. Nash enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Mary, and their 9-year-old son, Joey. He also has a rich background in athletics, having been a member of the Tennis National Team, where he competed internationally.

Dr. Nash is known for his commitment to student success, emphasizing the importance of a significant time commitment to mastering the course material. He is dedicated to providing support and resources to his students, ensuring an inclusive and conducive learning environment.

As a scholar and educator, Dr. Nash continues to contribute to the academic community while nurturing the next generation of information systems professionals.
 
Teaching Areas:
In the Fall 2024 semester, Dr. Nash is teaching IST 634: Enterprise Databases. This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of enterprise database management systems, covering topics such as database design, SQL, data modeling, and their practical applications in business environments. Dr. Nash's approach to teaching combines his extensive academic knowledge with his practical experience, ensuring that students not only grasp complex technical concepts but also appreciate their relevance in real-world scenarios.
