| Coordinator of the Music Composition Program, Andrew Rindfleisch is also the founder and music director of the Cleveland Contemporary Players, and director of the CSU Music Composition Resource Center. A leading composer of his generation, Dr. Rindfleisch has produced dozens of works for the concert hall, including solo, chamber, vocal, choral, wind, and orchestral music. An internationally active composer, conductor and pianist, his work continues to gain consistent critical and popular acclaim. In recognition of his work, he has been awarded many of the most prestigious honors in American culture, including the Rome Prize, the Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Aaron Copland Award. More than 35 additional prizes and awards have followed, including those from the Library of Congress and the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He holds degrees from Harvard University (PhD), the New England Conservatory of Music (Master of Music), and the University of Wisconsin at Madison (Bachelor of Music). |
