Brief Bio:
Dr. Kate O'Hara is an assistant professor of research for STEM Education in the College of Education and Human Services at Cleveland State University.  Prior to CSU, Dr. O'Hara taught high school mathematics for 11 years in an urban district in New Jersey.

At CSU, Dr. O'Hara teaches Project Based Learning and Step courses for the CSUTeach AYA education program. As well, she spends a considerable amount of time in the field supervising and coaching pre-service math teachers. As Director for the STEMM Education Center she conducts immersive, high-quality professional development experiences for surrounding K12 schools interested in changing their existing curriculum to effective 21st century teaching. The goal of the STEMM Center is to promote STEM activities within and outside the university in an effort to increase visibility of STEM activities at CSU and to the greater NE Ohio community.  

Dr. O'Hara also serves as the Hub coordinator for the Ohio STEM Learning Network and participates on several Advisory boards for surrounding K-12 schools.
