Brief Bio:
Dr. Walker is Professor of Practice for the CASAL (Counseling, Administration, Supervision, and Adult Learning) Department at Cleveland State University.  In her role as Professor of Practice, she serves as a teacher and advisor for Masters and Doctorate students in school administration. She also assists the Center for Educational Leadership as an instructor; Coach for the Institute for Premier Leadership; and assists with the Education Policy Fellowship Program.  

Dr. Walker has thirty years experience in secondary education including nine years as a business teacher and gymnastics coach and 21 years as a high school administrator.  During her high school administration experience she served:  Riverside Local (Assistant Principal), Mentor High School (Unit Principal), Bedford High School (Principal), and Avon Lake High School (Principal).

Dr. Walker attended Tremont Elementary, Lincoln Junior, and is a graduate of Lincoln-West High School.  She earned her Bachelor¿s of Science in Business Education, Master¿s in Secondary Administration, and Doctorate of Education in Educational Administration from The University of Akron.  Her doctoral studies research included communication, school climate, and female leadership.

Dr. Walker is an active member of OASSA (Ohio Association of School Administrators) and NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Administrators) where she has been a conference presenter on a variety of topics for Aspiring Administrator¿s, Assistant Principals, and Principals.  She has her Superintendent's license and is both OTES and OPES trained.  She is trained in Marzano's Art & Science of Teaching and Rick and Beck Dufour's Professional Learning Communities.
