Brief Bio:
I'm an associate professor of early American History and I'm also the Chair of the History Department. My first book, Land and Liberty, covered the landlord-tenant relationship and the American Revolution in New York's Hudson Valley. Since then, I've written on violence, power, and authority, and I'm writing a national study of land tenants and the American Revolution.
