Brief Bio:
Sarah Rutherford joined the Cleveland State University faculty in 2014 and teaches across the curriculum in print, interactive, and design research methods.

Sarah's research looks at teaching and learning strategies in design education. She has presented at  conferences in the disciplines of design education and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Her work for the National Parks Conservation Association has been recognized in HOW Magazine's In-HOWse Design annual.

In her role as Education Director for AIGA Cleveland, Sarah coordinated numerous events for area students including the Emerge Mentoring program and the Spring Portfolio Review and Conference. In addition to educational programming for the chapter, she has been active in the Get Out the Vote initiative, serving as a writer for the July 2016 Get Out the Vote poster exhibition at the Galleries at CSU and a project leader for the Get Out the Vote Design + Community video series. She currently serves as an ad hoc member of the organization's Board of Directors.

Sarah recently designed the catalogue for the September 2016 exhibition, Archie Rand: Sixty Paintings from the Bible held at the Galleries at CSU.
