Russ has been a college educator in Northeast Ohio for nearly 30 years.  He began teaching here at CSU as a part-time instructor in 1999 and joined the full-time faculty in 2004. Working in both printmaking and painting, he combines overtones of contemporary Surrealism and the spirit of German Expressionism with a meticulous technique to explore themes of existential despair and emotional conflict. Since 1988, his work has been exhibited in 29 US states, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Denmark, England, France, Korea, Poland, and Turkey.
