Brief Bio:
Dr. Nigamanth Sridhar is a professor of Computer Science in CSU¿s Washkewicz College of Engineering. He plays a crucial role in CSU¿s joint efforts with CWRU on the Internet of Things Collaborative (IOTC), serving as the co-academic director for the IOTC. Dr. Sridhar also led the university's efforts on computer science education for K-12 schools; the "CS for CLE" program has enabled nearly half of all high schools in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District to offer high-quality CS courses to all their students.
Dr. Sridhar is currently on leave from CSU, serving as a program director at the National Science Foundation, focused on the federal government's investment in cybersecurity education and workforce development. Since joining CSU in 2004, he has served the University in various capacities, including Dean of the College of Graduate Studies overseeing all graduate education at CSU.
Dr. Sridhar earned a PhD in computer science in 2004 from the Ohio State University, and an M.Sc.(Tech.) (1997) degree in Information Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India. He received an NSF CAREER Award in 2008.
