Brief Bio:
Nancy Meyer-Emerick is Associate Professor Emerita of Public Administration. Prior to joining the Levin College faculty in 1999, she worked in local and state government, primarily in public works and environmental health. Her first book, The Violence Against Women Act of 1994: An Analysis of Intent and Perception, was published in 2001. Other work was published in Administration & Society, the International Journal of Organization Theory and Behavior, Nonprofit Management and Leadership, Public Administration and Development, Administrative Theory & Praxis, the Journal American Water Works Association, and the Journal of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. In 2009 she was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Prešov, Slovakia where she taught Organizational Behavior and Crisis Management. Her second book, Using Social Marketing for Public Emergency Preparedness, was published in 2015.
