Brief Bio: |
| A nine year teaching experience in a village, working with children and parents, inspired Dr Seck to become a social worker with at risk youth. After few years of field practice as a Social Worker, he joined the Ohio Department of Youth Services for additional training as a youth counselor. He worked at the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center as he attended Case Western Reserve University, Mandel School of Applied Social Science. After earning an MSSA and a PhD in 2007, he joined Cleveland State University as an adjunct, then visiting assistant professor, and later full time assistant professor in 2007. His experiences in Social Work as student, field supervisor, instructor, and Social Work school administrator, inspired him to write on issues related to juvenile justice, social work education and student success, group work, developmental disability, and economic and social development. |
