Brief Bio:
Throughout the course of my 20-year teaching career, I have enhanced the courses I teach through innovative and engaging techniques such as:

Learning Communities
Real-world Case Curriculum
Student (Case) Competitions
Online Student Simulations and Course Management

In addition to a wide array of techniques in the classroom, I have participated in extensive curriculum development activities, 10 study-aboard trips, and numerous international business related enrichment exercises. Study tours have spanned 5 continents including visits to over 50 multinational organizations including The Cleveland Clinic, Lubrizol, Publicis, Sherwin Williams, and Grand Marnier, to name a few.

Coupled with a commitment to student success through engaged learning, I dedicate myself to service initiatives that benefit my department, my college, and the institution. These include curriculum development at the undergraduate and graduate level, AAUP Executive Level administration, participation on search committees, advisory committees, hearing boards, as well as active participation in professional development conferences and seminars that develop and maintain links between the college and the external community.

Lastly, as a Licensed Customs Broker, I enhance student learning through hands-on client work with local businesses and government offices. As a customs broker, I advise local businesses on how best to mitigate risk, all while working on behalf of Customs and Border Protection.
